Obedience Classes

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy

Introduce your new "family / pack" member to a variety of other puppies and people in a playful environment with supervised distractions. As your puppy learns to accept new situations, they will gain confidence and self assurance. Puppy Kindergarten provides a great opportunity for owners to learn how to communicate with their new "best friends." Dogs depend on their owners to be leaders, to teach them proper behavior, and to manage situations -- not just when they are puppies, but throughout their lives. In addition, dogs depend on pack order for a sense of security. We will help you establish yourself as the Alpha -- meaning leader, not bully. Be fair, you can't expect your dog to understand you unless you take the time to train and educate them. Puppy Kindergarten will help establish your leadership position with your pup. Cost: $60.00 for 6 weeks

Basic Obedience

The next step after Puppy Kindergarten. Among the skills that will be taught are sit, stay, down, come, and walk on leash (heel). This class is for dogs six months of age and older who have not taken an obedience class, or for those that need improvement on these skills. Course is composed of 5 sessions of approximately one hour each.
Cost: $80.00 per five (5) hour class

AKC Canine Good Citizen Workshop

This class will continue to work on the skills learned in Basic Obedience and will hone the skills necessary to pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizens's test. Workshop meets for three one-hour sessions and one test session.
Cost: $75.00 includes workshop and test
Test Only: $25.00

AKC Rally Obedience

Rally is a brand new canine sport designed with the traditional pet owner in mind. The Rally course consists of a sequence of stations. A sign at each station indicates an obedience exercise which dog and handler team must perform. Rally is more relaxed than competative obedience, focusing instead on communication, attitude, and enthusiasm, while the variety of exercises allows you to show off your teams versatility and teamwork. Rally is a wonderful introduction to the sport of obedience and an opportunity for 'veteran' dogs to remain active. Rally meets weekly. 
Cost: $10.00 per one (1) hour session

Agility Classes

The King of Dog sports. Imagine the most fun a dog can have, zipping through the weave poles, zooming through a tunnel or negotiating a narrow dog walk? Our facility offers a venue where you and your dog can burn off energy and spend quality time together.

Introduction

A class for dogs 6 months and older who have never taken an agility class. This class is designed both for those who are interested in agility competition and those who just want to have fun with their dog.
Cost: $10.00 per one (1) hour session

Beginner

Class for dogs who are able to negotiate agility equipment. Handling skills with be taught in the class. Dogs must be able to work off lead.
Cost: $10.00 per one (1) hour session

Intermediate

Designed for dog/handler teams who are interested in competition.
Cost: $10.00 per one (1) hour session

The Dog House Daycare

Dog House Daycare is a great solution for dog owners who are away during the day, while their dogs are at home without social interaction or activity. For happy and content dogs, The Dog House Daycare is the place! The Dog House is a 4,200 sq. ft. facility that allows dogs to exercise, play, snooze and socialize to their heart's content.

The Dog House Daycare provides:

• 2-3 walks a day
• play areas
• rest spaces on comfortable beds
• plenty of fresh water
• toys for fun and agility
• treats (by permission)
• convenient location
• transportation

Jumpstart

While your pet is at Daycare, our staff can provide one-on-one sessions to introduce agility equipment and the commands associated with them. In addition, we can also reinforce basic obedience commands and behaviors.
Cost: an additional $15.00 for 1 hour of Jump Start instruction during your dog's stay at Dog House Daycare.
